Relationship anxiety books might help you if you’re struggling to relax in your relationship.

Are you having doubts that you’re not with the right person?

Do you worry that you’re settling in your relationship and that there might be someone else better for you out there?

Maybe you don’t feel attracted to your partner enough. Maybe you feel like something is missing.

If you’re having difficulty in your relationship, it might be helpful to talk to an online couples counselor! Using Talkspace makes couple’s therapy super flexible and convenient, as you only need your phone or web browser.

You’re not even sure if you love your partner enough. You’re not entirely convinced you’re even in love with your them.

Relationship anxiety, or more specifically Relationship OCD, is something that completely controlled my life for years.

I questioned my relationship with my boyfriend immensely, and I suffered from daily panic attacks.

It was beyond hell.

And even though I still sometimes struggle with intrusive thoughts, I’ve learned to manage them better with the help of these 7 relationship anxiety books and courses.

7 Relationship Anxiety Books and Courses

1. THE MINDFULNESS WORKBOOK FOR OCD

I can’t recommend The Mindfulness Workbook for OCD enough.

There’s an entire section dedicated to Relationship OCD, which is beyond amazing!

It’s cognitive behavioral therapy based, but it’s written in a very compassionate and warm way that makes you feel more at ease.

You can go at your own pace, which I think is sometimes better than your traditional therapy.

I also love that you can write right in the book, so you can go back and check your progress.

2. EVERYDAY MINDFULNESS FOR OCD

Everyday Mindfulness for OCD is the perfect addition to the previous book recommendation, The Mindfulness Workbook for OCD.

You’ll discover games, tricks, and tips to outsmart your OCD. All these skills help you get one step ahead of your symptoms.

This mindfulness workbook also helps you find the incredible healing power of self-compassion.

The best part is it will help you live in the moment by thriving, not just surviving.

5. EVERY LAST WORD

Every Last Word by Tamara Ireland Stone is a Young Adult fiction book about 16-year-old Sam.

She’s a swimmer, popular, and looks just like everybody else. But underneath it all, she suffers from Pure-Obsessional OCD.

It’s so hard to explain Relationship OCD to other people, yet there were parts in the book that were so honest I was moved to tears. I even read several scenes out loud to my boyfriend and cried at how closely I could relate to it.

I love that the author actually took the time to do her research, and it shows in many of the examples of OCD Sam struggled with in the book.

I also loooove that Sam has a healthy relationship with therapy and understands the importance of keeping up with it. She’s also on medication, which is amazing.

6. EXCEL AT LIFE AUDIOS

Excel at Life has made the biggest impact on my life the past couple of years.

They have the best audios I’ve ever heard.

Seriously, I can’t say enough good things about them.

All of their audios are cognitive therapy based with a focus on mindfulness. They’re incredibly eye-opening and life-changing.

I listen to them multiple times a week, and I’ve noticed a huge change in my way of thinking and thought processes.

They have several OCD audios, as well as articles you can read alongside them.

Excel at Life also has audios about other anxiety disorders and mental illnesses, like depression.

You can listen to them from a couple different Android apps (only available on Android), or you can listen to them from the internet here
